About PupHealthy

PupHealthy is a small, independent dog-health site run by Tony Hernandez in San Jacinto, California. I started it in 2018 to put clear, practical dog-care help in one place: what to do about itchy skin, allergies, bad breath, fleas and ticks, and how to tell when it's time to call the vet.

How the guides are written

• Every guide starts from a question dog owners actually search for.

• Health facts are checked against veterinary sources, such as the Merck Veterinary Manual and the American Veterinary Medical Association, and each guide links to the sources it used.

• Guides are updated when the advice changes, and each one shows the date it was last updated.

• PupHealthy isn't a vet clinic. The guides help you understand what's going on and what to ask, but they don't replace an exam. If your dog is in pain, stops eating, or is acting very differently, call your vet.
